FAITH, IN STORIES THAT CHANGE

FAITH, encourages you to take an honest look at yourself and the world around you.

Ana Maria calls upon humanity to embrace the notion of change. She asks us to let go of the stories that belong to the past and open ourselves up to a brighter and more hopeful future… If not for ourselves, then for the children of the world.

“As a perfect aside to Faith, the poetry and prose offered within Ana Maria’s, A Journey of Subtraction, will see you on your way towards peace, acceptance, hope and humility.”

– Samuel Rider, Artistic Director of Faith in Change Publishing – 2022.

A Journey of Subtraction, front cover displays an autumnal tree with an empty tree at the base, inviting readers to sit and subtract pieces of The Self.

A JOURNEY OF SUBTRACTION

All who traverse inwards require pointers, a compass, so to speak. Let Subtraction guide you home, towards the self, through the self, beyond the self.

This collection of poetry and prose complement any journey of self-inquiry, whereby the destination lay inwards, through ethereal oceans unknown to the eye. Ana Maria offers mirrors of reality, reflections of compassion and love, and writes with the ‘soul’ purpose of calling you home.

Reviews for Faith, In Stories That Change

“An honest, sometimes brutally so, reflection on who we think we are, who we actually are and who we could be. The author takes us along on her epic journey of self discovery and, in turn, casts a mirror upon the reader to look deep within themselves. She then goes on to pose important questions about the future of our species and the role each one of us has to play in it.”

Christo Swart, Cape Town, South Africa.
Adventurer, writer, cyclist extraordinaire & teacher.

“Although brutal in places, I enjoyed the new perspective provided on life and came to reflect on my parenting practices with more rigor and self-awareness.”

Mary Bowles, Stockholm, Sweden.
Self-aware mother with a child to honour and love.

“This book for me is both complex, and simple. It captures the highs and the lows of a life without being a biography, it’s as much a self-help book as it seems to be about Ana Maria.  It’s a book that starts at the beginning and feels finished when you get to the last page. Love it. Great writing!”

Bud Chapman, Christchurch, New Zealand.
Ex-fire fighter, humanitarian, wanderer and lover of nature.

“My mother and father annoy the heck out of me!!! This book made them a little less annoying. I think I understand them a bit better and how they operate. I don’t blame them so much for being so dumb!”

Kevin Bertheux, Lyon, France.
Chef, traveller and life of any party. Thirsty for truth!

“Recovering alone is scary, let me walk beside you with my words, for it is impossible for me to be with you in any other way.”

– Ana Maria Santuario, 2024.

SAFER SHORES OF ME
(coming soon)

Safer Shores of Me, is a collection of poetry written during a time of deep transformation, wherein a will to become safe again won out over every other battle being fought. Oftentimes, life has horrific things happening in it and safety is not an accessible physical and external feature of one’s life. If it is like this for you, and even where it isn’t, let these healing and recovery writings urge you inwards, to a place of anchoring, safety, and the source of a will to survive. Consider it as necessary reading, or perhaps preparatory, because these words will not waste your time, only strengthen, preserve and protect should Hell ever come for you.

“Words find their place in time, and sometimes, it is not time.”

– Ana Maria Santuario, 2026.

MANIFESTO FOR CHANGE: DUAL-DIAGNOSIS AND DISPARITY.

When we call for change, our arguments must be rooted in legislation, in already existent laws. Can we debate our way to a safe treatment and care paradigm, one that is also safe for carers?

This is the first manifesto for change, written with utter love and devotion for family, community and country. Manifestos end up under debate, as opposed to them striking upon first impact, it is a safer road to change for all.

The books below, after careful contemplation, it was decided they were better left to a debate room, as opposed to public digestion. They were the beginning of conversations, not the end, that is The Why. A wholly free press, safe or unsafe? Another question for the debate ring!

– Executive decision, A. M. Santuario (2026).

ETHICAL MENTAL HEALTH TREATMENT AND CARE BROCHURE

In this new age of technological advancement and expansive knowledge, is too much left outside of the microscope of contemplation, especially when it comes to modern and dynamic treatment and care paradigms? This is a debate for a bigger room, one full of experience and qualification, of theory and practice combined.

“Words change us, we don’t know how. Trust in words that do you well, they are born of destiny, light and wonder.”

– Hannah M. Sim, Co-Founder and Director of Faith in Change Publishing, 2024.

LETTERS TO THE WORLD

“There was a time when letters shaped ‘The New World’, let them remake the world once more… only this time, let the rights of the working classes be cast in iron, shaped into stone, and anointed with the blood of our dead…”

Sometimes, we write with pain, at other times, with passion; when both combine, well, when that happens, the words might be best kept to oneself; just as the little intro left in quotes above proves, there was too much pain in these letters to let them loose, and so I have buried them instead.

“Trust is hard won, and I am gifted with patience. I can wait for you.”
