If I Died

If I died,
No one would recognise my absence from the world.

Nobody sees my wholeness,
Nobody sees me floating through time.

Space fills my world,
Empty spaces…
Vividly imaged nothings,
That never ever came…

If I died,
No one would grieve my loss.
No funeral. No tears. No prayers…

Just drifting into the longest sleep,
Peacefully, full of gratitude,
for the peace and freedom from life.

I shall greet time,
As I will greet death,
With thanks.
