What is knowledge? Knowledge – No Ledge!
There is no end to it, it just keeps going!
What makes one piece of knowledge
more valued than another?
Only its significance in the collective story.
The Earth was flat, now it’s round.
Did this supposedly ground-breaking news
change anything about life?
Stars are suns,
a weird looking fish lives at the bottom of the ocean,
your brain reacts in different ways for different things,
‘Lights up’, so they say.
‘So what’, I say!
It means nothing except for the meaning one attaches to it.
You can learn and memorize
everything there ever was to know
and still know nothing of importance.
Knowing yourself,
looking at this strange phenomenon that is you
seems the only worthwhile journey to me.
For along this journey lies peace,
a contentment in my powerlessness and utter insignificance,
Yet an awe filled wonder
at the majesty of my own existence.
There is nothing to do,
no problem to solve,
nothing to fix,
nothing to know –
just a life to enjoy, to sing and dance
your way through until the day that your vessel,
your body,
sinks back into the depths…
of the unknown.
