Sandless Shores

When I wake up to sunlight,
Upon the grazing sands,
The lapping waves call me to attention.

I am ready to let go,
My inward whispers spell,
Ready to wash away all impure.

There’s a reason sands renew,
Each night the waves change
these dusty floors I lay upon, rest upon.

Recovery, a sandcastle made of snow,
Melting each time it’s built anew,
In the blazing suns of soul.
