#PEACE

When Ana Maria Santuario writes poems…

She never edits a thing… the words come through the hands that write, but the words, she does not claim those to be her own. She is nothing without these words, but these words do not belong to her, which is why she gives everything away from a place of love, wanting for nothing, and enough (meaning that she feels herself to be enough, and has enough to fulfil her basic needs). She takes only time from your world and will never ask from you what you are unable to give.

In a moment of life when there was nothing but words, these things came to keep her tucked away within the safety and truths of herself and shielded her along the brand new path which she was walking alone… A lucky thing indeed, since these words are the map she used to find her way home, to that of love, light and honesty. This is a thing that we ask you to treasure and respect as the offering that it always is… with purity of heart, any hard truths are there to support your own transformation, since ignorance, denial, and an unwillingness to face things stunts all paths leading towards the light. Please welcome, soak up and absorb, allowing the words to work their way into your heart, mind and body… allowing all that shall come up from within you to be welcomed and witnessed within a space of pure compassionate acceptance…

We never chose to be what we are, only life knows what truly happened to provide the pains that may still exist within your mind-body… suffering is always there for a really valid reason, you experienced something that caused pain, and that pain is what you still feel… to release the shame of the pain is the actual journey at hand – for we are unable to magically erase the suffering that exists within our own self… if someone had that miraculous remedy, well, we’d surely all know about it by now. However, lightening your load is possible, as is learning to traverse your path in new, healthier and stronger ways. Resilience training is a huge step towards transformation, as will be self-care, self-acceptance, and trust in the greater narrative of your life, as well as that of your death.

To accept yourself is to accept all parts of yourself, including your suffering, which may manifest in many fabulously interesting ways, such as rage, anger, resentful outbursts, perhaps it flows outwards as tears fall, or creates tension in your entire body. Perhaps it causes chronic sickness and physically debilitating pain. Suffering may always present in a very many ways, getting your ‘self’ to listen and respond is the key, learning this new language of mind, body and heart, rarely a thing taught since many have lost their way by adulthood. To see your world, acknowledge its realities, and act accordingly is a brave and scary thing; this is why your journey may benefit from the tools and resources offered within what we are calling, the ‘Self-Help Library‘, which is actually full of scientific intrigue and modern, as well as ancient wisdom, all of which is there with one purpose, to teach you to help yourself.
