When Life Changes You, Let It!

“I am changed. I am changed. No point in denying it, I really am changed. I guess that’s okay.”

I once was one person, now I am someone else entirely…

Bed is the safest place in the world when my body says so.

I was once someone else. Life doesn’t have to be anything specific or ‘special’ to be wonderful, it only need be safe. I know that now.”

Listening to bird song always soothes my soul.

“It was once a hammock I’d lay in at least once a year, now I sit with ocean sounds turned on, and remember… all that is left is remembering…”

Music stirs memory, I make sure they are the right ones these days. Nothing painful (unless it’s to heal myself).

“Time will not heal all things, but it will give one an opportunity to grow around the pain.”

Fresh mangos, how I miss you. I’ll try to remember you and feel grateful instead.

“I used to love to cook, to bind flavour, colour and texture into one. Now I read ingredients lists because I have no energy, and say a prayer that the manufacturer is ethical and safe.”

I still love water, when I can remember to drink it. Setting an alarm helps.

“I remain grateful for hot running water and clean drinking water.

I take special care of a healing body.

“Making sure as few toxins as possible entered my body became even more vital when traumatic experiences became unavoidable.”

I always LOOK UP! Don’t forget to look up! So much beauty…

“I enjoy a walk when I can, when I can muster the motivation, energy and determination. Nature is still my favourite home.”

Being safe, that is my main daily contemplation these days.
