Where oceans meet land,
There is a line…
It moves, changes, shape-shifts.
Here, in my wavering lines,
I find wreckage in the carnage of my form.
Where seas recede, where emotions lessen,
I find things, secret treasures,
Hidden pains, traumas, and chaotic motions,
Of time, space and light.
In my inners, life’s jumbled up jigsaws
Find all their pieces, and make whole,
What was always whole.
Only fractured wholeness,
Piecing itself together,
And finding beauty in its cracks and scars.
Where waters wash away, they leave new trinkets,
For discovery and dissection.
New pieces to my puzzle,
New scars and wounds to treat with care.
Handled delicately, my world falling apart,
Came together again, for the last seas recede,
And leave me wholly breathless,
In the awakening of my perfection.
Where Seas Recede
