Preface, A Meandering Waltz

A meandering waltz through time and space, we begin to pick apart what it means to be human.  We dissect and decode the ways in which we are programmed to present as this individual self and are asked to embrace the notion of change.  In ignorance we dwell no longer, as we learn to harness The Revolution of Knowledge that we find ourselves experiencing as a species.  If new and different call you forth into the unknown, then I invite you to join me in untangling yourself from the world, as it seems timely for the human collective to slowly begin defining exactly what it is that we are, and to start admitting more to the truth of ourselves.  It is time for a wake-up call and what better alarm bell to ring than that of reality?

Our species is made up of stories, we are defined as well as contained by them, and somewhat scared of letting them go.  Our identities are entangled by what we think we know, so really, what we are scared of is a loss of our egoic selves, not the silly and often harmful stories that we cling to.  Herein, we slowly uncover the truth of who you are and who there is still a chance to become.  I do not talk here about improving yourself, much better to accept yourself and embrace the full, whole and colourful human that you were born to be.  We must stop living in fear of our own humanness, we must stop smothering the truth of ourselves in shame and denial if we are to move forwards as a humanity.  We are all a bit fudged up, can we just let that be okay now?

Where does Ana Maria get the ideas?

“I’ve spent my lifetime reading and thinking, as well as observing… and thinking… and living… and thinking. Basically, I think about everything that comes my way. Some experiences matter more than others, but everything came to be a part of the whole that I am today! Below, you will find a link to some of the more important reading recommendations, those which came to shape and influence me in memorable ways. The other thing I recommend is travel (if you can), since this challenges and expands a person in ways incomprehensible to the human psyche… the changes simply occur as a result of the experiencing of different and new. A mind may change from these moments placed in the unknown, and when the mind changes, you change. Yet, without the means to travel, a good read may just take you someplace new too… since the mind is able to venture to places this body never can. With love, Ana Maria.”
