Self-care is a beautiful practice, one to transform self-perception, health and vitality. There is no shame to be found in taking good and consistent care of yourself. The only reason a person neglects the practice is because they feel guilty; afraid of rejection as they turn from prioritising the needs of others to themself; or undeserving of such a beautiful show of self-affection. It is far too complicated to unpick such core programming in this introduction to the, ‘Self-Care is Never Selfish’, affirmation collection. So please do trust that reading such posters everyday does plant seeds that grow when nurtured, fed and taken care of like the seedlings they are. New growth of patterns and reprogramming takes years, and persistance and patience are key… as is faith in the process and journey ahead.
These posters come in 4 variations: photo, classic white, plain pastel colours, and rainbow pastel backgrounds. They may take time to download, please be patient.

Your core programming runs deeper than you know…
Self-sacrificing, self-sabotaging, self-depreciating? So many programmes of self to become aware of. Every human being has default settings, some turn inwards, causing pain to themselves, others project and throw their pain out in hateful aggressive slurs, many numb, dissociate and distract, let’s call that survival. There is no shame in being you, there is nothing wrong with how you came to adapt and go on to survive a rather chaotic, demoralising and ever-changing world.
However, there are ways to reduce the amount of suffering you experience daily, be the source of said suffering your own thoughts, or the thoughts of another thrown in your direction. Enduring things perpetually can be horrid and you may not be ready to choose any bigger changes required right away. Self-affirmations can feed towards change and nurture aspects of your inwards world that have been left starved, unappreciated, or unseen. Becoming your own care-taker and witness in life is essential if your will drives you towards a sense of empowerment, independence and self-reliance.
Of course, we are allowed to rely on others, but there is a fine line between codependency and healthy connection. Where your heart is kind, does being kind to others result in kindness back, or cycles of love-bombing and rejection? Are you truly loved by others, or simply valued only when you meet their needs? Therapy may be required to effect change, for the transformation process is hard, long and tiring. So do yourself a favour and start today, first with the planting of everything little and easy, because that’s how you navigate the deeper stuff sitting beneath your surface, with the strength, resilience and self-worth accumulated by such a practice as these affirmations gifted to you today.

“Program yourself with love, kindness and compassionate thought patterns… to bring light to your life you must learn to absorb the right things… lifting yourself up with a little self-loving time and energy can do the trick, but only if you stick with it indefinitely. There are no quick fixes, please don’t buy into them.”
