From blood to earth,
Up rooted tree to paper,
From fire,
To iron and steel.
In ice, a frozen defiance,
Stares into the abyss,
Of time, and war,
Of dancing and heartbeat.

This collection will lay in wait for a good decade or more before publishing. Perfect timing is everything, so is good editing.

Where does the time go?
It is over 100 years since World War One, close to 80 years since World War Two ended, lest we forget, but do we remember? Do we remember why people died? Do we know the necessity of life sacrificed, enough to pipe down when modern wars are going on, unless we are reasonably informed? Do we remember enough to read and learn more, to be deliberate with our thoughts, and thus, our words? To listen? What do we remember, and do we still learn? Have we honoured the fallen by living in such a way that honours what they gave, life and limbs, inward sanctuary, and peace? Into time, falls living memory, just as it always has… lest we forget.
